Mesa Verde (Green Table, in English) is absolutely beautiful and an amazing sight to see! The national park was created in 1906 thanks to Theodore Roosevelt, who thought it was important to "preserve the works of man"! There are over 5,000 archaeological sites and over 600 cliff dwellings of the Pueblo people, also called Anasazi, in the park.
We went during the off season, so a lot of the trails were closed, but we were still able to see a lot of amazing cliff dwellings!
